Eligibility

Children and adolescents ages four to 17 with a substance-related disorder (use, abuse, dependence, addiction, withdrawal) that is affecting their ability to function independently in the community, at home, school, in the workplace, etc.

Eligibility

The Clubhouse serves youth ages 13 to 18 from Floyd, Gordon and Polk counties. Youth participating in Clubhouse activities must have a substance abuse issue at a mild, moderate or severe level.

Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP)

Services Provided

SAIOP is a three-phase program that ranges from 13 to 26 weeks and includes intensive behavioral therapy/group counseling and 12-step treatment services. Each phase takes between one and two months and requires:
• Participation in group therapy two to four times a week
• Participation in 12-step meetings one to three times a week, with verification of attendance
• Random weekly urine drug screening

 

Eligibility

 

Adults 18 and older whose health and level of functioning is significantly affected by substance abuse, addiction or a similar substance-related disorder.

Services Provided

This is a six-month residential treatment and recovery program that includes:
• Comprehensive health assessment
• Case management and resource coordination
• Physician and nursing services
• Individual, group and family counseling, including 12-step programs
• Substance use testing, treatment and education
• Co-occurring mental health treatment
• Anger and emotional management
• Relapse prevention and aftercare
• Employment and career services (job readiness, training, matching and other support)
• Linkage to GED preparation and other community resources

 

Eligibility

 

Men age 18 and older with a primary diagnosis of a substance use disorder, and men with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues, who need a safe and stable living environment in order to develop sufficient recovery skills.

The Highland Recovery Center is located in Jasper, Georgia (Pickens County) but is open to men in any county served by Highland Rivers Health, including Floyd County.

Services Provided

 

Residential recovery and support services offer permanent supportive housing options for homeless individuals with mental illness, addiction and/or HIV/AIDS who want to live independently in their communities.

 

Eligibility

 

The target population for residential recovery and support services is homeless adults age 18 and over that have:

1.   A primary mental illness, addiction and/or an HIV/AIDS diagnosis that contributes to their homelessness.
2.  Three or more hospital admissions, or one hospital stay longer than 30 days, in the last year
3.  Two or more incarcerations (jail time), or an incarceration longer than 60 days, in the last year.

 

Women’s Outreach Residential Treatment Program

Services Provided

 

The Women’s Outreach residential program serves women who need a safe and stable living environment in order to develop sufficient recovery skills. The average length of stay in the residential program is six to nine months. Children 13 or younger are allowed to stay with their mothers while they are in the residential treatment program, and therapeutic child care is available. Intensive outpatient treatment consists of an ongoing series of group sessions once a woman has successfully completed residential treatment.

 

Eligibility

 

The Women’s Outreach program is for women with substance use or dependency who are pregnant, postpartum or parenting children age 13 and younger.
