Floyd Against Drugs, the Floyd County Sheriff's Office, and AdventHealth Redmond recently hosted a successful Drug Drop event on Saturday, October 19, 2024. The event, held in front of AdventHealth Redmond in Rome, Georgia, saw a remarkable turnout with 27 cars coming through the drop-off site.
Together, the community turned in a total of 41.1 pounds of unwanted prescription medications, with the highest individual contribution weighing in at 8.53 pounds. This significant amount of drugs removed from circulation represents another victory in the fight against substance abuse.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the dedicated volunteers who made this event possible:
Floyd Against Drugs: Jimmy Allred, Catherine Fricks, Carol Willis, Alvin Jackson, and Annette Morris Banks
AdventHealth Redmond: Mia Passarelli, Akua Kuffair, and Audie Britton
By working together, we can create a safer and healthier community for everyone.
