Floyd Against Drugs (FAD), the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department, and Redmond Regional Medical Center partnered October 23rd to offer the community a drug drop event in conjunction with the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day which aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of prescription and over the counter drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. Over 47 cars came by Redmond Regional Medical Center and 275 pounds of expired or unwanted medications was collected.
